Love, You.

"The first start towards success is to be glad you are yourself. So many people are bored by themselves. They have no self-reliance and are always wishing they were someone else."
--Florence Scovel Shinn

Check out my baking skills. Vegan Almond Cookies (right) and Chocolate Crinkles (left).

Be glad you are you! And don't forget to set some goals for the New Year. We all know mine: happiness, sexiness and the good life.

I have some news for you all.  Trying to think positively about my least favorite holiday was a complete success. I had the most memorable Christmas of my adult life: blasting holiday music (hello Pandora holiday R&B radio), basking in the warmth of baking cookies and in the sugar high from eating them and being continually surrounded by friends and loved ones. It's about time I experience the good stuff you all are always talking about.

While I didn't get a trampoline, Santa still took very good care of me: designer shoes and perfume, great clothes, pearls and diamonds. . . Oh it was good! Driving home the night of the 25th I found myself feeling quite disappointed the festivities were all over.  It's official. I'm a converted Christmas fan.

I just signed up for a month of Bikram Yoga! 2011, here I come!

  1. I love the quote! It is important to be excited about yourself, and if you're not: do something about it!
